Home Flowers Snapshots

Some white flowers for my white Scandinavian Kitchen.
And, for a change, the weather is lovely outside.
Enjoy the weekend everyone!

PS: I normally keep my cooking herbs in that flower pot, thus the 'herbs' written with chalk.

Indoors Garden

I've been working on a Pinterest board called [ Indoors Garden ] and I'm loving the atmosphere it transmits. It's fresh and full of good ideas for having plants inside our homes.
Here are some of my latest pins.
Hope you like it!

Tea Time!

A cup of tea and a few magazines for a perfect, quiet, afternoon.

The Vipp tea cup came from a giveaway at Walnut Grey Design blog.
Lucky me!

White and Green for Muuto 2013

This Spring I'm having a serious crush on white and green styling. Neutral tones with a few splashes of green, clean lines, simplicity, and overall a fresh atmosphere. Especially when the green comes mainly from natural plants. And these images, from Muuto's Spring 2013 catalogue, illustrate that with perfection.

Green Inspiration

Because little, shy, green leaves are slowing starting to show on the trees
... And that means it's finally Spring.
Took it's sweet little time!

Sweet Paul Magazine - Spring

One can always find beautiful images and delicious recipes at Sweet Paul Magazine.
It's worth checking out all the recipes on the new Spring edition but, in the meanwhile, here's some wonderful inspiration in tones of green and grey - Photographed by Andrea Bricco and styled by Alicia Buszczak.

Happy Friday - bright and cheerful spaces!

The sky is gloomy and foreboding here in Maryland, so I've decided to bring on some "virtual" sunshine.

Mmm...fresh produce.  There's no better feeling than cooking dinner using fresh veggies you bought at the local farmers market.  My parents sell the veggies and lamb they grow at their farm, Chestnut Creek Farm, in Carroll County, Maryland every Saturday.  They work full time jobs than spend every night and weekend working out in the gardens.  (It'd be awesome if you gave them a little love by Liking their farm page on facebook!)

Thanks guys and have a great weekend!

My cactuses

I need to make a confession: I can't keep flowers alive at home. And that is something that really saddens me... a Scandinavian home has plants inside, right?! So my mother-in-law just solved my problem (we hope) by giving me 4 little cactuses. They don't need to be watered all the time so hopefully they will survive more than a couple of weeks. And they are so damn cute (for something full of spines).

Minty Summer

A minty and fresh moodboard for this summer. An intire room with this colour seems to me like living in a mix of hospital and "After eight" box". But I like some small details. The Kitchen Aid and the mint retro box for small cakes are my absolute favorites.
