Friday eye candy " Alittle bit of this and a littlre bit of that"

Good morning lovely readers!  I' m happy that it's Friday, somewhere later than others but, the weekend starts!  I've been a little bit of a busy bee lately, our little one started school and for my peace of mind he's been doing great, happy and excited from the first day.  I finally have Internet of my own, no more using the generous neighbor's one and a lot of plans ahead personally and professionally.  I'll advance you that this blog is also going through a transition, like me, at the moment and it's going to change hopefully for the best.  I feel that this whole experience of moving to Sao Paulo has woken up feelings inside me that I thought were only mere imaginations or dreams.  While I work and organize some things for that change I'll be posting randomly.  For now, and until then, enjoy the good weather where you have it and have a wonderful weekend.
Weather is a bit crazy lately.  Warm one week and then a few days very cold, so I'm keeping myself warm with lots of tea during the day.  Below a picture of my lovely Cinnamon tea.

Friday eye candy

I´m head over heels for this necklace above that I found at a jewelry store here in Sao Paulo
This an unofficial Saturday eye candy for all of my lovely readers who, like me, are committing a sin by blogging on a beautiful Saturday morning.  If by any chance you have absolutely nothing more fun to do and happen to be cyber sauntering during  the weekend then this is for you.  Bom fim de semana!
I´ve been forever infatuated with Brazilian jewelry and this week I got these cool earrings (below) and I love them.
Nothing more relaxing than walking barefoot at the beach.
Another shot of a home store.  I suspect I´m in big trouble!
Pure Glam!
My coffee standards are way too high.  All I have to say is that I was pretty happy with this one above.

Lauren Santo Domingo`s Paris Home by Fracois Catroux

It´s a Holiday here in Brazil, I think they found out it`s my birthday this weekend! ;) and we are rushing to head out to the beach for the weekend, but I didn´t want to end the week without sharing these magnificent images of Lauren Santo Domingo`s Paris home, designed by Francois Catroux.  You can see more gorgeous images and read more about it in this month`s issue of Vogue.  Isn`t it an amazing home? Bom fim de semana!

Transition

As you read this we're already in Sao Paulo.  The days prior to our flight were crazy busy and overwhelming.  Moving is not an easy job but, moving overseas while trying not to forget the smallest detail takes the whole experience up a few notches.  It was hard to see our home empty again like the first time we walked into it and I have to admit that as exited as I am with our new home, my heart ached a bit, well okay maybe more than a bit!  This home we left behind was the home were we had our fist son, we saw him start walking and talking and we had a great time in it sorrounded by family and friends.
I've been dealing with farewells since I was a little girl but I'll never get used to it.  It's soo painful! On saturday we went to visit my family and we cried a river when it was time to say good bye. Above all I'll miss my mom dearly.  She has always been there for me all my life and it's hard to know that she won't be close by.  As my husband and I say "the best and sweetest baby sitter possible"  My dear friends have been awesome as well, hosting farewell dinners and get togethers for us and it's been extremely moving and comforting.  Some of them already have dates to come and visit.  I know that adjusting to a new country is going to be hard mostly because I don't have anyone in Brazil but, I'm pleased and happy for this new begining and looking forward to the future, as always!

Friday eye candy

Don't you feel like the year is flying by?  Only a few weeks left of summer and in a blink it'll be Christmas again.  Someone once told me that the reason we feel time is flying is because as we get older and engage in different events, duties, work, etc our days feel shorter and time goes by quicker.  It makes sense to me.  Lucky me, I'm going back in time, I mean in season.  When we get to Brazil it'll soon be spring.

Friday eye candy

I'm a nautical girl at heart.  Not sure how did it start since I didn't grow up in a beach town, wait! Is that why? Maybe, but I love water and a clean sand.  It makes me happy and it's one of my great source of inspirations.  Enjoy your weekend!
