A mid-weekly reminder to everyone to enter to win an amazing Change of Art frame!  I'll announce the winner on Feb. 6th.

Here are a handful of very cool ways to display art in your home, and a Change of Art frame would really help you do it!

One of my favorite salon style walls, I love how the artwork even extends to the floor!

Add even more textural interest to a brick wall by hanging some framed art and mixed-media pieces.

Convex Mirror: Federalist Convex Mirror

Probably the mirror used by the witch in Snow White was a convex mirror since it's a mirror with a power of optical illusion in it.  It disturbs the images that reflect making it feel like its inside the mirror, hence making everything in front appear bigger.  I would love one as big as possible for our new house in Sao Paulo, particularly a Federalist or Eagle one.

For the chair cushions, the owner actually had them upholstered with the wrong side of the fabric up, for a more muted effect.

Lots of fabulous entry and hallway inspiration and eyecandy!

We just got a new console for entryway, which was much needed considering I was using a wonky collapsible thing I picked up off someone's curb a few years ago. So now that our console is in place, I decided to find some inspiring ways to decorate and organize it.

 

I want our entry console to act as a mail sorting area and a place to keep my purse.

I think I'd like to have a small light on our console, like you see above.  If you put it on a timer so that it turns on right before you normally get home from work each day, it really makes your home feel welcoming!

I wish we had space for people to sit down and take off their shoes (we are a no-shoes apartment), but for now I'll just have to keep it in mind for when I do have the space. I also like the large, dramatic piece of art at the end of the hall. It has a really dramatic effect.
