Scandinavian style - Bright apartment in Sweeden

I've been struggling for a while trying to decide if I wanted to post about this apartment or not. But I kept finding my self going through all these photos, over and over again. It's the styling of it that puzzles me. There are many little decoration elements that I don't like, I can even say that I find them hideous. But then there are other details that work perfectly for me. And I love the space, the brightness, the white from ceiling to floor...and those double doors. And the general image looks actually very cosy to me. So I'm still confused but I'm sharing it anyway...

Bloomingville Catalogue SS2013

I love it when the new catalogues from my favourite web-shops start making their appearance. Now that 2012 is behind us I'm feeling all excited with the prospect of days getting longer and brighter, and I crave for images of homes dressed for warmer days.  Yesterday I went through the new Spring/Summer catalogue from Bloomingville and decided to share some of my favourite images and tendencies for the next season.

Rowen & Wren - Autumn/Winter Collection

For this Autumn/Winter, Rowen&Wren created 3 great collections: Timeless Living, Refined Rural and Distant Home. Each collection  has it's own character and provides for a specific atmosphere, and I strongly advise to click on the links and take a good look at all of them, even because the pictures are really beautiful.

For this post, though, I will share my selection of favourites from the Refined Rural collection. I identify myself more with this particular collection. I love the tones and the textures... and I fell in love with those bread boards the moment I set my eyes on them.

Celebrating the 4th in style!

This is a guest post I did for my good friends over at Bae - a fab home decor boutique in SF. Visit their blog at Bae Home & Design

You don’t need to clear out your local Hobby Lobby of everything with a star or a stripe this month to give your home or 4th of July celebration a patriotic sparkle, you can show your pride this Independence Day in a less is more approach with style, sophistication, and a little bit of fun.

The opening of The Pledge of Allegiance in a bold modern graphic print is a great way to show some spirit.

What is more decadent than cheesecake? Individual jar servings make it special, strawberries and blueberries make it festive.

Show up to the cookout in this chic and pretty sweetheart dress.

Available at Anthropologie.

Bae's SkLo float vessels would look great anywhere in your home or party. Cluster a grouping of them around some candles to create a colorful glow. See more

This patriotic throw pillow is so cute you can use it year round.

You can also decorate with your own accessories. Group together any red, white, and blue items you already have around your home to get that patriotic feel.

Have a happy, stylish 4th of July!
