The weather has long since turned warm and it’s long past time to start thinking of ways to be outdoors!
One interesting idea for this that I’ve come across is to put some bean bag chairs (made out of comfy and robust fabric) on the patio. I could always buy a patio set, but it seems a little silly to me spend so much on furniture that will always be exposed to the elements and need to be replaced sooner.
That’s one of the reasons I’d like some bean bag chairs, especially since they work on the patio as well as in the living room. Plus, they don’t rock on uneven surfaces. Plus-plus, they’re funner and more comfortable than traditional furniture!
There’s actually a startling variety to the kinds of shapes and fabrics available, including ones that washable, ruggedized, and easy to repair. Over a long enough time span it’s inevitable that you’ll poke a hole in one I suppose, but it’s a simple matter to patch a hole and fill it back up with beans. The versatility in shape means you can use one as a chair, a sofa, or even a mat to lay down and sunbathe with a good book.
After an evening out it’s easy to picture carrying the chairs back inside to relax, gathering around the coffee table or a movie. There are teardrop shaped bean bag chairs that get this job done wonderfully, sitting low to the ground and in a reclined position. It’s a great novelty that shouldn’t be seen as too silly or childish! These things grow on you and everyone is unique and so fashionable.
