Beauty : Viridian Nutrition

When I was asked recently by the lovely people at Viridian Nutrition if I would like to try out some of their fabulous beauty supplements, I said yes immediately.

I haven't been taking as much care of myself or exercising this year as I should do & I'm definitely feeling it.

Viridian products are ethical, healthful, pure and contain 100% active ingredients....
they suggested that I should start with two products.....

&

I've been taking both of these now for a month and can most definitely see improvement....my skin feels less dry (always a sign that I am under par), my hair feels softer & my nails have grown like crazy!!

I will be continuing to take the supplements....whilst I aim to eat heathily each day, sometimes life (and cake) gets in the way and I don't always succeed.
I do feel reassured that by taking these supplements, my body & my skin are being cared for and getting at least some of the nutrients they need.

Review : Lenovo IdeaTab A2107A

I was recently asked if I would like to try out & review the Lenovo Ideapad A2107A and as one tablet never seems to be enough these days, I said yes :)

And I'm very happy I did....
although the tablet arrived & it was literally days before I could get my hands on it since both my children & my husband appeared to be using it whenever I wanted to do so!
It got very positive feedback from them all.

We already have an iPad (which I absolutely love) and so I was really interested to see how it would compare.
It is certainly compact, the screen size is 7 inches but it's very portable, you can literally tuck it in your pocket and it's much easier to hold in one hand than the iPad....perfect for children.

It has two cameras, both of which are excellent quality.

It has many pre-loaded apps, the wifi works very well and the sound & picture quality are good.

As a family we all gave it a thumbs up and it proved to be very practical to have in addition to our other tablets/phones/laptops.
The price is also very competitive....£149.99 (£129.97 on Amazon today)

Some of the technical stuff :

* 3G lets you stayed connected anytime, anywhere
* the interior rollcage design protects against drops
* a matt cover makes it easy to grip & hold
* the HD screen is exceptionally bright helping to counteract glare
* the 7" screen is the same size as a novel, perfect for reading ebooks
* it is equipped with the highly intuitive Google Android 4.0 "Ice Cream Sandwich" operating system which is specifically optimised for tablets
* it has both a built-in 1.3MP camera & a 5.0MP rear facing camera
* it has multiple wireless options
* it has a MicroSD Card slot, meaning you can expand your storage
* it has a built-in FM radio

Review : Nokia Lumia 610

The lovely people at Microsoft Windows contacted me a few months ago to ask me if I would like to test & review their new Nokia Lumia 610 phone.

My first thought was "yes I would...."
.....followed swiftly by the memory of just how long it took me to get used to my current mobile phone. And the one before that. And the one before that.

I've said before that I am not great with technology....
instructions & manuals make my brain turn to mush & I do tend to be the kind of person who owns items but doesn't utilise them to their full potential.
I manage but there is a lot of room for improvement!
I'm not proud of it but it's true.

Anyway......my lovely new phone arrived.
It then sat on the kitchen table. For a day or three.
I a) hoped it would magically turn itself on & just start working and b) even considered asking my children if they wanted to "have a go" with Mummy's new phone in hope that they would set it all up.

Finally, I plucked up the courage....and within about 15 minutes, I was all set up & good to go.
It honestly couldn't have been simpler.
It is a very user-friendly phone.

I have been using my current phone - an iPhone - for around 3 years & have been very happy with it, no complaints so far.

I do have to say though that - truthfully - the Nokia Lumia 610 very possibly suits me much better than the iPhone.
Emailing is much easier & the simple & speedy connection with all the information contained in my Hotmail is fantastic.
I would rarely email when I was out & about with my iPhone but with the Nokia Lumia, all office/work related tasks were extremely easy.

I also really like the apps - many for me, some great apps for my children plus some that are unique to Nokia, such as Nokia Maps and Nokia Music.

The photography options are very good - much better than my current phone.

And the battery life is a million times better than my current phone.

It's a very elegant  & well designed smartphone which is fun, easy & fast to use.

Some of the technical information:

"The Nokia Lumia 610 runs the latest version of Windows Phone 7.5, offering one fo the quickest smartphone experiences available with access to more than 100,000 apps in the Windows Phone Marketplace.
The unique Windows Phone operating system brings live information updates on friends, news & apps straight onto the homescreen, allowing the user access to information at a glance."

All in all, I had a very good experience with the Nokia Lumia 610 and would happily recommend it.

Disclaimer : I was given a Nokia Lumia 610 by Microsoft Windows in order to write this review but absolutely all the opinions are my own.
