It's overly common in today's homes and businesses to see a variety of metal file cabinets. From vertical file cabinets to laterals, metal file cabinets have become a staple in most offices. As common as the cabinets themselves is the overwhelming desire to provide a more attractive option. Finding wood file cabinets with beautiful finishes seems impossible to some but I assure you they are available!
I think almost everyone would like to have a nice cherry-finished file cabinet with attractive pulls and adequate space as opposed to a standard black or tan metal file cabinet. That being said, wood file cabinets really enhance the look of the office. They provide a warming feel as opposed to the look of cold dark metal. Nothing against metal file cabinets here, especially ones that come in customer paint finishes. They hold up quite well, but in my opinion they offer nothing as far as aesthetics to offices.
Finding wood file cabinets to match your office is actually pretty simple. Doing a Google search for the color and style of cabinet you are looking for will pull you up several results. However, I suggest searching for the line or series of furniture you already have. Mayline for example offers lines like Luminary, Mira, and Sorrento that ALL have matching file cabinets. The best part is, the cost is nearly the same! You may pay $20 to $30 more per cabinet but overall you have enhanced your space without breaking the bank. Instead of an eyesore in the corner you now have a matching piece of office furniture, not just a file cabinet!
