I normally do not write about hotels but during my last trip to Hong Kong I visited and stayed a few nights at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and I finally found some pictures that give it the recognition it deserves. Its a world class hotel with world class amenities and not as expensive as many of you are thinking. Hong Kong has been hit hard by the H1N1 Flu virus, something that is mostly talk now and history yet people still seem to avoid the once famed British colony with its expensive man made airport. It feels very much like China now, but then again China is a growing giant, a country you seem pretty free in and most people just go about their lives trying to make money and government and politics has become something to laugh about and joke at the diner table. Sort of like Michelle Bachman here in the United States and her run for US President. I am not dying now hysterically because I have to finish this blog posting.. Both countries are a lot more a like then our governments want us to believe. But anyway back to the hotel, its an amazing piece of architecture, interior design, and exterior beauty, and the rooms, well see for yourself.... Simply elegance at its best.
